Migrating Server

Hosting Controller enables you to import existing non-Hosting Controller users into your system. Hosting Controller gets the list of users from the operating system, and you can state whether they will be created as a Reseller or WebAdmin account, what Reseller account the user will appear under, and what hosting plan the user will use.

Note: Hosting Controller creates all its users in the operating system of your web server and these users are authenticated from the operating system, not the Hosting Controller database. A list of these users is available here: Start -> Settings -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Local Users and Groups -> Users.

Along with importing non-Hosting Controller users into your system, you can import existing IIS sites into Hosting Controller, one at a time. You can select the type of web site and domain the imported site will become, the user who will be the site's administrator, and the hosting plan for the new site.

If you are using Serv-U FTP server, you can also import Serv-U FTP users into Hosting Controller.
