Domain settings |
It is critical that you set up your IIS settings correctly. Hosting Controller enables you to set your domain IP address, FTP server, SMTP address, enable or disable SSL and enable or disable Index server.
To set up IIS:
Click on the Domain Settings link in the Preferences menu.
Choose your IP address from the IPLess Domain IP drop-down list if required. This will be the IP for all IPLess (Name based) domains.
FTP access for IPLess domains is created as virtual FTP directory in one of the FTP sites on IIS. Choose the FTP site from the IPLess FTP Site drop-down list. This site will hold the FTP access for IPLess domains.
Enter your SMTP IP address and port number in the SMTP Address and SMTP Port fields. This SMTP server will be used by HC to send certain type of emails.
Click on the SSL Enabled tick box if you want SSL to be enabled on your server, and choose the domain name that SSL applies from the SSL Domain Name drop-down list. When this option is enabled, you will be able to create shared SSL for your clients using 'SSL Manager' option in left menu. Refer SSL Manager for concepts.
Click on the Index Server Enabled tick box, if required. When this option is enabled, it allows indexing on the websites using Index Manager option. Refer to Index Manager for concepts.
