Configuring HC to manage SendMail on Linux

Setting Hosting Controller with SendMail involves three steps.

  1. Installation and configuration of HC Secondary Setup for Linux. Contact Hosting Controller support to get the latest version of Linux Secondary Setup and for setup instructions.

  2. Enabling SendMail in configuration.

  3. Configuring SendMail settings on both Primary and Remote machines..

Configuration On Primary HC Machine:

  1. Login to Hosting Controller as Host Administrator, click on Preferences, click Mail Settings.

  2. In Mail Servers Configurations page, enable Mail On Remote System check box.

  3. Select SendMail from Mail Server Type drop down list. Click button to go to Step 2.

  4. Enter Linux HC port number (remote socket) in SendMail Port box.

  5. Enter the IP of the remote server where SendMail is running in Remote Mail Server IP box. Click button.
