Configure HC to manage MS DNS |
As part of complete hosting automation solution, Hosting Controller can automatically create appropriate DNS zone record for new websites. But before this, Hosting Controller should be configured to manage your MS DNS server.
To enable and configure MS DNS:
Login into Hosting Controller as Host Administrator. Click Preferences, click NameServer Settings.
Enter the following information
Primary NameServer: Primary nameserver for domains. e.g. ns1.domain.com.
Secondary NameServer: Secondary nameserver for domains. e.g. ns2
Administrative E-mail Address: The information entered in Administrator E-mail Address Is entered in the zone file so that if someone does NS Lookup for the domain, he could see the contact for the domain. e.g. admin.domain.com.
DNS Server: Select MS DNS from the list.
DNS Server Home Directory: Complete path where DNS server is installed. e.g. c:\winnt\system32\dns.
Enable check box DNS On Local System.
Click on button.
